Dust off your memorabilia and help Sainte-Marie
Celebrate !
In 2007, Sainte-Marie among the Hurons is celebrating
the 40th anniversary of the reconstruction and opening of
the historic site as a provincial tourist attraction in Southern
Georgian Bay and Ontario. One feature of the 40th anniversary
celebrations will be an exhibit at the attraction that captures
40 years of memories.
Huronia Historical Parks is hoping the community can assist
with this new exhibit. As a past visitor to the historic site
or a former employee, you may have a story to share, an old
uniform, unusual or interesting souvenir to dust off from
your attic. Please consider sharing your treasured items,
memorabilia, brochures or memories as Sainte-Marie among the
Hurons looks to highlight the interesting stories and activities
that took place over the past 40 years. Perhaps it was a visit
to the site as a student or as a community resident bringing
out-of-town visitors to Sainte-Marie that brings back fond
memories.
Please contact Huronia Historical Parks at hhp@hhp.on.ca
or 705 - 526 -7838 to let them know if you have any
memorabilia or recollections of seasons past at Sainte-Marie.
We look forward to hearing from everyone and taking
visitors from around the world down Sainte-Marie among the
Hurons' memory lane with your help.
