Midland (Ontario) – The official Wind Turbine Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held Friday, May 25th at 11:00 am. The Ministry of Energy's Community Conservation Initiatives will be recognized for their $40,000 contribution and Midland PUC for their contribution of $25,000 during the ceremony. Scott Warnock, Mayor of Tay Township, will also be thanked for labour and equipment support throughout the project.

In attendance and guest speakers confirmed to date will be the MPP for Simcoe North, Garfield Dunlop, MP for Simcoe North, Bruce Stanton, Phil Marley, President & CEO of Midland Power Utility Corporation, and Laurie Schutt, Executive Director at Wye Marsh.

A light lunch will be offered at noon along with an informational presentation about Wye Marsh for the Open House Media event to follow. A Birds of Prey show will be offered at 1:00 pm and guided canoes and walks from 2:00 to

4:00 pm. Please dress accordingly, running shoes or hiking boots are recommended as most activities are outdoors.
