Holstein Maplefest for Great Family Fun
13th Annual Holstein Maplefest
April 7 & 8, 2007
Presented by the Egremont Optimist Club
An outdoor pancake breakfast in April? You
bet! It’s the 13th annual Holstein Maplefest, held
in a real sugar bush. With many great things to see and
do such as woodcarving, rail splitting, a cow milking
demo, blacksmithing, and plenty of other great activities,
you’ll enjoy your time in the sugar bush. Our music
will keep you entertained, as will the re-enactment of
the War of 1812. You won’t go hungry as we’ll
be serving up thousands of delicious pancakes and sausages,
smothered in gallons of maple syrup. When you’re
done there, visit the biscuit house for freshly-baked
treats. This event is great fun…with a little education
mixed in for the children.
The Holstein Optimist Centre will have more
than two dozen crafters displaying and selling their great
handmade goods. Knit items, home baking, jams, jellies,
you name it and it’s there. Oh, and if you didn’t
have enough food in the sugar bush, there will be sandwiches
and drinks served.
What great value, adult admission is only
$5.00, while elementary and younger children are free.
We’re family friendly. And we’ll treat you
with welcoming country hospitality. A perfect opportunity
to combine some family fun and education.
Come and join us for a day. You’ll
know why more than 5000 people came to the Holstein Maplefest
last year, and you’ll leave looking forward to next
year’s Maplefest. Follow the signs to Holstein Maplefest.
Your hosts Ray and Suzanne Love and fellow
members of The Egremont Optimist Club, along with several
hundred volunteers, look forward to seeing you at the
13th Annual Holstein Maplefest. For additional information
